Unused Corner Transformed into Office Nook

These customers have an active household with four young boys. Their small remodel project had two goals: (1) Reduce sound transmitted to an office located off the front entry area and (2) add an office nook space between the kitchen and living room.

The project involved constructing a wall between the living room and the front entry area, as well as modifying an unused corner next to the railing for the basement stairs. Handyman Kota removed the railing and framed out a new wall and half wall, in addition to framing out an opening for a new glass door and transom.

The final result helps reduce sound audible in the home office while adding a small office nook for a desk and home message center.
