Bismarck Laminate Floor Installation
Project: Laminate Floor Galore
Homeowner decides against tackling laminate floor installation himself
The homeowner felt confident that the boxes of laminate floor he purchased a year earlier had sufficiently acclimated to the house. While he was comfortable with the idea of installing the floating laminate floor, the prospect of using every “spare” moment to accomplish it was daunting. He had done preparation work in removing the old carpet and baseboards, as well as scraping and sanding some to remove remnants of whatever carpet pad remained.
Handyman Kota provided a labor estimate according to square footage of the spaces to be included, as well as a cost per step. The installation went well with the only real challenge coming in cutting the laminate material to fit around the 1920s-vintage hot water radiators coming through the floor.
The final product resulted in a classic, clean appearance that unites the kitchen, dining and living rooms for an expansive, open design.
